Koh Phi Phi

Here are some highlights of our 4 day 3 night stay on Koh Phi Phi.

3.20.15-Off the dock.
Koh Phi Phi
Muay Thai fights at a reggae bar. Tourist could fight for a medal & a free bucket of booze.
3.21.15-6:00a.m. we loaded on a boat while the rest of the island was sleeping & headed to the middle of the ocean.
Last pic & minutes as bf & gf!
The sun rising...
The proposal<3 Aimee said YES!!!
It felt like the universe & God along with our loved ones above conspired together to make our proposal an unforgettable moment.
O.M.G.
Headed to Maya Bay

Backstory: We watched the movie The Beach in the beginning of our relationship. I remember Leo Dicaprio swimming in the most crystal clear water & knew I needed to go there! That day I did research where it was & still 'til this day I have it on a sticky note on my computer. -Aimee

After the proposal we celebrated on the beach & drank wine.
A dream come true.

Our private boat named Chokgaran.
Dusty: #fishselfie
Aimee reelin' in her fiancé.
We are engaged jump for joy!!
That black section are hundred of tiny fish!
Color of the water.
Seriously dat watuh.
The driver drove us around & we stopped to snorkel in the lagoons.
To end The Best Day of our life we watched the sunset on the other side of the island.
These people joined us.
Dusty was taking a nap on a rock and when he woke up Aimee said: "I looked over and all I saw were mustard buns."
Boom shaka laka. It's trippy to watch the ocean slowly recede.
Sunset @ Viewpoint after climbing up hundreds of steps.

It was worth it. #nofilter
3.22.15- We trekked to Long Beach. The best snorkeling conditions: many fish & clear water. We were hoping to see some baby sharks, this was the spot for it but we didn't see any.
Mango shakes all day, every day!
BBQ burger (marinara sauce burger) & cheeseburger after a long day @ the beach.
3.23.15-Last day on Koh Phi Phi. Our last breakfast buffet at our hotel.
Mmm num num num num.
We splurged on our hotel but it was worth it. It was near the ferry & beach, pool, ac, "free" breakfast, gym (we did not use), nice staff & just lovely.
We are leaving a piece of our hearts in Maya Bay!

Koh Phi Phi is definitely a tourist destination. If you're looking for authentic food & culture this is not the place to go. On the plus side though, it is a small island where the primary mode of transportation is by foot, which is nice because you don't have to take any taxis and aren't constantly playing Frogger with scooters. A bit more expensive &
Americanized than other places in Thailand but when you see how beautiful Koh Phi Phi/ Maya Bay is you understand why everyone & their mothers want to be there.

This place will always be dear to us & we know we will one day make a return trip with our keikis (that means kids white people) & show them where Daddy asked Mommy to be his wife.
